Each student of the University of Economics in Bratislava can undertake an Erasmus+ mobility - practical traineeship in abroad repeatedly during university studies. The total length of all Erasmus mobilities on one cycle (study mobility, practical traineeship, graduate traineeship) cannot exceed 12 months.

  • Practical traineeship through the Erasmus+ programme can be completed in following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania , Slovenia, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, and Turkey.
  • The minimum duration is 2 months, maximum duration is 12 months. Total length depends on the fact if you already undertook an Erasmus+ mobility on the particular cycle of study.
  • The faculty will publish a call for applications along with the conditions how to be included in the selection process usually after the beginning of an academic year. Students must complete the traineeship in the same academic year (including holiday period) in which they applied for the traineeship. Each faculty organizes the selection process separately. The faculty coordinator delivers the list of nominated students and the list of alternate students to the IMD in the form of a nomination letter along with a printed and signed traineeship application for each nominated student. After checking the completeness of the documentation, the IMD coordinator establishes electronic communication with the student in order to forward the necessary organizational instructions related to the preparation and implementation of the practical internship.
  • The student searches for a suitable company and traineeship position independently. In doing so, the list of traineeship possibilities might be of use (available to students nominated for mobility on the request by the IMD coordinator). If necessary, student can request a personal consultation with the coordinator from IMD. Hosting organisation should be arranged at least one month before the beginning of a traineeship, so there is enough time to prepare contract documentation and other organizational requirements.
  • Following types of organizations are not eligible as receiving organizations for students undertaking Erasmus+ practical traineeship: EU institutions and other EU bodies, including specialized agencies (full list is available at http://europa.eu/european-union/about-eu/institutions-bodies_sk); organisations implementing the EU programmes, such as National Erasmus+ programme agencies (with the aim to avoid possible conflict of interest and/or double financing).
  • After receiving an acceptance from the company, student needs to fill out an Acceptance letter with cooperation of the hosting institution (available to be found in section „Dokumenty a formuláre“ at https://euba.sk/medzinarodne-vztahy/odchadzajuci-studenti/erasmus-prakticke-staze). Student should afterwards upload the Acceptance letter to https://studyabroad.sk/en.
  • In cooperation with the company, student is required to prepare Learning Agreement for Traineeships(LA-T). In this contract, it is necessary to specify an exact period of the traineeship, program and activities student is about to carry out during the traineeship, working hours, as well as other relevant information. After the LA-T is complete and signed by all parties, student needs to upload it to application https://studyabroad.sk/en (section Agreement (upload)). Based on the LA-T and personal bank account information (student must be a holder of the bank account), coordinator at the IMD will prepare the Contract on the provision of a financial contribution.
  • Student is required to arrange a complex travel insurance covering medical expenses and accident insurance for the entire duration of the study mobility (it must be continuous without the condition of return after 30 or 45 days). It is necessary to upload to your application at https://studyabroad.sk/en the actual valid insurance contract as well as proof that it has already been duly paid. Along with the contract, it is necessary to upload also the scope of coverage (it is included in the contract, table, etc.). Students can arrange for example an ERAPO travel insurance - specialized insurance for Erasmus+ mobilities. You have a choice of 2 insurance packages, ERAPO standard or ERAPO premium. More info can be found at erapo.sk. It is also necessary to upload valid copy of the European Health Insurance Card.
  • In case student completes the entire traineeship or its part during the teaching period (or "during the semester"), student also uploads the Release from studies to the https://studyabroad.sk/en application - issued by study department of the particular faculty. Study matters regarding the recognition of subjects must be consulted with the vice-dean for international relations at your faculty.
  • If the student does not travel to the Erasmus+ study mobility by plane, student can use the so-called green travelling. Such form of travel include travelling by: train, bus, boat, shared car, so-called car-pooling (min. 2 students, not family members). In this new project, a student can apply for a green travel allowance and thus receive a one-time allowance (top-up) in the amount of 50 EUR in addition to the individual support. In case of this type of travelling, the student is entitled to reimbursement for extra travel days (max. 2 days BEFORE the mobility and max. 2 days AFTER the mobility). These days will be included in the individual support with the grant. The grant is provided based on the declaration on oath and travel tickets that have to be uploaded to https://studyabroad.sk/en.
  • Passing the OLS assessment before mobility is a basic requirement for the mobility. Those participants who have reached level B2 or higher in the evaluation of the main language of communication have the opportunity to participate in an OLS language course of that language or the language of the given country, if it is available within the OLS.
  • The amount of financial contribution depends on the country where the mobility is going to take place, as well as on the length of a traineeship. The exact amount is determined by the Contract on the provision of a financial contribution prepared by the Univresity of Economics in Bratislava and signed by the student. If the hosting institution also provides certain financial contribution or any other benefit, it is an advantage for you and it does not affect the Erasmus+ financial contribution.

The Contract on the provision of a financial contribution is signed between the University of Economics in Bratislava and the student; any changes or amendments to the contract are possible only in writing, in the form of an amendment to the contract agreed by both parties.

No student may travel on a study mobility without a valid signed contract!!!

Each student receives 80% of the overall grant amount before commencing the mobility and remaining 20% after the return, when all requirements are met.

It is mandatory to come signing the contract 10 days at minimum before leaving for the mobility.

No later than 15 days after finishing the traineeship (unless otherwise agreed with the Coordinator from IMD), each student must deliver following documents:

  • two original copies of the Europass Mobility document, filled, signed and stamped by the company where the traineeship took place. Also, student is required to upload the scan of this document to application https://studyabroad.sk/en,

  • confirmation on the submission of a Traineeship Report - EU SURVEY. Student fills out the traineeship report online. The IMD coordinator will register the student in advance on the reporting portal. Immediately after completing the traineeship, student will receive an automatically generated invitation to submit a traineeship report, along with access data, directly to his/her personal e-mail.
  • in case student used the opportunity of green traveling, it is necessary to upload also tickets or a gas bill as well as proof of payment for the purpose of documenting the travel to the mobility.
